When the Trust Blog guesses the Town team for a forthcoming fixture it is rarely as correct as it would like to be. Trpohy games are the most difficult this season. So let's note that youngster Caine Winfarrah has gone to Gainsborough Trinity on 'work experience', he will be playing for them at Brackley Town tomorrow instead. http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/Caine-Winfarrah-joins-Gainsborough-Trinity-work/story-20423122-detail/story.html
Not also that no new injuries reported, although thanks to Twitter I've seen that @andithanoj suffered from a migraine in the Huddersfield game. No doubt that as soon as we upload this, the usual sources (telegraph, official website etc..) will publish more detailed team news, specifically the fitness news re; Scott Kerr and Clayton McDonald.
Beyond that, Paul Hurst's team selection will depend on having half an eye on a busy league calendar for the remainder of January, and whether he thinks anyone is in need of a rest tomorrow. So it could be that Sam Hatton or Paddy McLaughlin, Alex Rodman or Dayle Southwell come in, or Lenny John-Lewis on his return from suspension. There is even a chance the Mariners could be unchanged from last Saturday. Of the youngsters, Ellis Humble should continue to be involved in McDonald's absence.
Ok, let's guess at ; mckeown /bignot thomas doig pearson/ thanoj disley mclaughlin colbeck/ cook southwell subs; hatton humble rodman johnlewis hannah
With the transfer window open for the new year, GTFC-related sites are full of speculation and tenuous links reported such as ex-Town loanees sign for fellow conference sides. Maybe Barnsley and Doncaster signing players increases our chances of bringing in a squad player. Maybe. Perhaps if we are to sign anyone from Forest Green, which seems to be a particularly persistent but random rumour, their manager might JUST wait until after we play them on Tuesday?!
