Years Watching Town:- Saw my first game against Portmouth in the FA Cup in 1967 and have being going ever since apart from a spell in the 70's when I played local Saturday league for Laportes and Hospitals
Where Do You sit:- I sit in the main stand with my family and friends (group of 12 of us) and have done for as long as I can remember.
Trust Role:- I got involved in the original Trust as treasurer about 8 years ago but had to pull back due to work. I got back involved when I took early retirement 3 years ago. As I have time on my hands I volunteered for the most time consuming job of Secretary. (Club liaison, membership administration, events organiser, website updating to name a few.)
Other Stuff:- Prior to taking early retirement I was the commercial finance controller at Young's and as a labour of love I was given the GTFC sponsorship to look after.
I am one of the two Trust board members elected to the GTFC board. As I said at the time there is no magic wand to transforming the club's fortune and there is no doubt that football finance at this level does not make any sense but we are working hard to make improvements wherever possible.
Outside of GTFC I also follow England and go to most of the home games and a few away. Most interesting places I have been are Belarus and Brazil.
Other interests cover most sports although more confined to watching nowadays with the exception of Table Tennis which I still play in the local leagues. I have also taken up Golf but not very well.
Other than that my priority is my family and now all the children have flown the nest my wife Sue and I love spending their inheritance on travelling, particularly cruising. Favourite place visited is Canada & Alaska.
