Tuesday's night's Remembrance-Armistice themed victory over Halifax saw the return to the Mariners' first team squad of Scott Brown and Carl Magnay, post-injury, and both current loanees available; Danny Parslow and Harry Pell. The Mariners then loaned out 2 of the young 'uns, Caine Winfarrah and Ellis Humble, who could each feature for Matlock Town away at Stamford today.
(We seem to have mislead them that the 2 have yet to play; when Winfarrah has made a few subs appearances, and of course created a Disley matchwinner on his debut last season; hmmm

Anyway, some stats: conveniently forgetting our FA cup exit a week ago; we have managed;
- 5 straight wins in the Conference
- 20 games played, a 10-6-4 record
- 2nd place
- Stingiest defence
- +20 goal difference
- It is 3 more games 'til the half way point.....
Our opponents are one of those few Conference sides who DON'T have an ex-GTFC player in their midst.

Mid-week there was news of a young goalkeeper joining as cover to James McKeown due to Callum Bastock's injury; local lad Nick Draper, once of Lincoln, Boston and Inverness. A sensible decision; an opportunity to look at a local player, a rival and colleague for McKeown to train with, and an insurance policy in case of injury/suspension/illness. Maybe he will get to play in the FA Trophy, when that FINALLY starts for Conference Premier clubs on 13th December.
Squad for today;
McKeown Magnay Thomas Pearson Nsiala Disley Parslow Pell Neilson Arnold John-Lewis Clay Brown Hannah Mackreth Pittman (i.e. Tuesday's 16) plus Draper (if Hurst wants a sub GK), and also Bignot Walker McLaughlin, if more defensive reinforcements are required.
EG: Magnay's enforced substitution on Tuesday night could be a chance for Brown or Clay to start.
We will back soon with more Trust news and profiles of the new Board members.
