Hope you have taken the trouble to read the Trust Survey findings, as blogged about last week. Technical issues prevented me blogging for a few days, but they SEEM to be sorted now. So here's a quick catch up ;-)
All sorts of Conference and GTFC related news has popped up in the meantime, some of which is linked to the Trust. So for example, as I listen to the Forest Green preview on Radio Humbs, there is much talk about Michael Reddy, guest of the Trust at last Saturday's Wrexham game. (Also, see twitter, and the Grimsby Telegraph website.) See also a nice bit of reminiscing by TGTGD; http://toogoodtogodown.wordpress.com/2014/03/14/michael-reddy-returns-to-blundell-park-tomorrow/
What else has happened? Well, the division continues to fluctuate and surprise us. Of course Town have gone unbeaten in 4, with 2 frustrating draws, but Luton slipped up vs Woking last night, Cambridge seem to be having a super-blip worse than most in the division. And Alfreton have been deducted 3 points for fielding an ineligble player.
I grudgingly use the BBC website thanks to its in-depth table and its summary of last 10 games, which is a great indicator of recent form. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/conference/table, and its been fascinating to see how as many as 13 teams are still in the chase for a top 5 place. Plus after tonight, GTFC have 12 games remaining, whereas there are a couple of sides who have only 8, so its very difficult to judge.
March is a key month, and whereas many have mentioned the form of Captain Craig Disley, he scored against Salisbury, he scored a VITAL goal against Wrexham on Saturday, available on freeview via the Official Website and youtube. So, without wishing to give the kiss of death, Town remain unbeaten in March. #UTM!!!
Finally, THURSDAY is the Mariners Trust's first ever football quiz, at the Trust Bar; £10 per team, should be a good night; email [email protected] if interested in taking one of the last slots, or tweet @marinerstrust. Hope to provide a minireport afterwards, see how knowledgeable Trust Members and their mates are ;-)
